Who We Are
We know that it’s your hard work & strokes of genius that push humanity forward, and we build the tools to fuel your brightest ideas.
We appreciate that it isn't always glamorous and that breakthroughs are a lot harder than in the movies. We know how it feels to basically never feel like a superhero, especially when it seems like the answers are anywhere but in your data. We also know that for every failed experiment, late-night, and cold cup of coffee, you're helping light the way toward progress, and it's because of you that each day is a little brighter than the day before.
In 2013, Kristen and her husband Geoff started designing and hand-making sustainable goods to celebrate science in a tiny NYC apartment. From those days of screen printing and storing wares beneath a lofted bed, we've come a long way. We've traded Manhattan for Central Oregon's high desert, but our mission has stayed the same: design and build goods that show-off the beauty of science while trying to leave the world just a little better than we found it.
We are a minority woman owned and led small business. Our inclusive workplace provides meaningful full-time jobs to adults with disabilities. We stand for sustainability in all our actions from the products we make to the energy we use.
The journey begins.
Jersey City, NJ.
Our fledgling company quickly outgrew our tiny NYC apartment.
Our first 'real' warehouse setup and our first hire, Karl!
Our company is growing, and so did our need for space.
Growth continues to drive the need for more space. We moved out to Central Oregon and (during a global pandemic) bought our first warehouse!
To speed up shipping times and reduce the cost of shipping for our customers abroad, we've partnered with Hexspoor a fulfillment company in the Netherlands!
